Receiving the prophetic

Okay, so it's been a few weeks since I've updated. So much for the once a week goal. Anyhow, I guess I haven't been blogging much because not much has been happening--until this last weekend. Five of us "young people" from church road-tripped to Panama City Beach, FL to camp for a couple of nights. While it was a little chilly for FL (50's and 60's during the day), it beat the sub-freezing temps in IL by a mile. We attended Christian International Family Church in Santa Rosa Beach Friday and Sunday. AMAZING!! All five of us received prophetic words over our lives that re-inforced or confirmed things we had already heard/felt, or the words concerned something in our lives that no one would know about. As I reflect on this weekend, I realize more and more that we serve a mighty God, who knows no end, and for whom no distance is great. His Spirit and truth are the same in Chennai, India, Flordia, and Illinois--no matter where we are, He knows and will speak to us there.
Personally, I received my fourth or fifth word concerning operation in the prophetic (and upon return to Watseka had two opportunities to do so) and two separate words from two different people about having spiritual dreams and visions. Also given were words concerning my family and generational strongholds/curses (of which several have come to light lately), my career/vocation (already heading for change), healing (not the first time), ministry to children, and a few others. It's all a little overwhelming, but when put into a bigger picture, I am beginning to see how they all fit together. I can't wait to see what God is going to do.
